Sarah Archer is the owner and creator behind Asheville-based company Serotonin Ferments.
She makes a variety of fermented foods including sauerkrauts, kimchi, pickles, hot sauce, and probiotic crackers. She has been experimenting with and honing her skills in fermenting for over 14 years, highly motivated by providing the most healthful foods for herself, her family, and community. She has been guided by others experienced in the field, and through years of her own research and trial and error, has amassed a knowledge and expertise that has prepared her to create her own business and teach and share her love and passion for fermenting far and wide. Sarah truly believes food is our medicine and seeks to share how accessible, and delicious, a nourishing diet is. She has been featured in several local articles, most recently in the Spring 2018 issue of Edible Asheville.
