Celina Parás, MSc, RDN, L.D., is the Nutrition Education Specialist of the Culinary Health Education for Families program (CHEF) at the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of the Rio Grande Valley and a master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Texas Educator. Celina has worked as a nutrition educator in schools and has collaborated in health promotion projects in international organizations including London Food Bank and East London Food Access. She currently serves as state media representative of the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her special interest is in culinary medicine, child nutrition, and chronic disease prevention by encouraging healthful eating habits early in life.
