Panel Discussion: Effecting Change in Local and National Food Policy

Moderated by Kathy Higgins from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, this panel will explore what food policy is, both on a big P and little p scale, and its connection to health and health equity. Hear food and health experts Adam Zolotor (North Carolina Institute of Medicine), Heidi Blanck (CDC), Sarah Reinhardt (Union of Concerned Scientists), and Dwayne Wharton (The Food Trust) discuss tangible examples of effective policies and realistic takeaways for attendees to begin engaging in this work.
